Welcome to out Visitors site! Here you can learn all about the activities and sights to see in our small, historic town.
Start off with a hearty breakfast at Gary’s Harvest or the Hilltop Café before you start to explore all of our Main Street shops. Be sure to check out the studios at the Artist’s Mill complex, and the antiques at Winding River Antiques and Here Today Emporium, and the local crafts at the Artisans Boutique and Local Share.
No visit to Wilton is complete without a stop at Nelson’s Candies for old-fashioned treats and handmade chocolates, and gourmet cupcakes at Frost This bakery. When it is time for lunch, stop in at the Wilton House of Pizza or the Copper Kettle, where you can also get a variety of craft beers on tap.
After lunch, plan to spend time at the historic Frye’s Measure Mill where you can wander through seven rooms in an historic saw mill furnished with high-quality antiques, Shaker box reproductions and crafts displayed in period settings. Another great option is to visit the farm stands of any of our five working farms around town.
In the evening you can check out a movie at the historic Town Hall Theater, or in the summer attend a performance at the renowned Andy’s Summer Playhouse in historic Wilton Center.
Interested in history? The historic Wilton Public and Gregg Free Library is a Classical Revival brick building on the National Register of Historic Places.
