Emergency AlertThis page summarizes the current status of Wilton’s response to the COVID-19 crisis. In conjunction with our Emergency Management Director we shall be continuing to update the website and reassure our residents that we are committed to timely and ongoing communications regarding this Pandemic.

We continue to actively monitor the COVID-19 situation which is rapidly evolving by reviewing the updates prepared by both the CDC and the DHSS which we can pass along to our residents via our Town website. Like other New Hampshire communities we intend to do our part to “flatten” the curve of this Pandemic.

The Town of Wilton Emergency Management Director, David Boissonnault, in conjunction with the Town Health Officer, Dawson Gray, is strongly recommending the immediate cancellation of all large gatherings and events until further notice. This recommendation is based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Wilton Police Department

We at the Wilton Police Department are still safe-guarding the staff that work daily at our office. The interaction with our officers for any non-emergency issue will be conducted at the front door, or lobby if needed. After each interaction, the lobby of the Police Department is sanitized to safeguard the health of our staff.

We are working on a policy to accommodate individuals that are now requiring fingerprinting, which will be done by APPOINTMENT ONLY. We have placed a sign on the front door indicating that the finger printing is by appointment only, and to call our office number at (603) 654-9452 to schedule that appointment. As always, we WILL respond to any emergency call that we receive.

We at the Wilton Police Department thank all of the residents for their continued support and understanding.

The Town Clerk/Tax Collector's office is offering curbside appointments for voter registration, marriage licenses and notary services.  All other services are still being handled by dropbox, email or US mail or by using the Online Payments portal on our website.  We are striving to keep helping residents while maintaining social distancing for everyone’s safety and well-being.  Please call (603) 654-9451 x1 or email us at [email protected] for information on how we can assist you.  Upon arrival for your appointment, call (603) 654-9451 x1 and wait outside until someone comes out to meet you, unless otherwise advised.

If you call and get our voicemail, please leave a message and we will call you back as soon as possible.  If the phone system doesn't allow you to leave a message it is because the messaging system is currently busy taking a message, so please try again in a few minutes.  The phone call and email volumes have been very high so we ask that you be patient when requesting information.  We assure you we are trying to help everyone as quickly as possible.  We unfortunately cannot guarantee same-day service for any motor vehicle registrations at this time, so please plan accordingly.  If your temporary plates are expiring, please do not wait until the last day to begin the registration process as we cannot promise that you will have your new plates the same day.
